This is a newly created position, providing excellent career opportunities along with achieving Oxford City Councils own vision to create a sustainable Environmental Health Service for the future. We are looking for someone who is, adaptable in their approach and who is keen to develop their skillsets with the ability to grow to working independently, whilst working collaboratively as part of a wider specialist team. The role is demanding and will require you to take personal responsibility and perform with a high level of professionalism. Partnering other services within the Council and external partners you will help deliver an effective joined up Regulatory Service by dealing with a range of public health and other issues
The Training
As part of the Apprentice scheme you will be offered a professional development training programme, including enrolment on BSc degree course, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, (CIEH) with the potential on completion to become a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner
The apprenticeship will guide you through both on-the-job and academic taught skills to enable you not only understand, but develop your skills as Environmental Health Practitioner. You will be assigned a manager and a mentor who will support you throughout your apprenticeship.
